Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Minsk. Sergey Her father (who passed away in the year 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka hails from Belarus and was born on 5th May 1998. Her 12 WTA singles titles include the Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is her forte, and she won Majors at both the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both of which were in partnership with Elisemertens. She won two majors, in the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian partner, completing what is known as the Sunshine Double. Only four women's pairs have achieved this achievement. In the month of January, 2023, she surpassed her top ranking in singles. The 23rd day of August 2021, she climbed to number two in world rankings. Following her victory at the Melbourne doubles tournament in February of 2021 and gaining the doubles title, she managed climb the ranks to take the first spot on the list of that particular specialty. She was coached by the former Russian tennis star Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the end of the 2019 season and in part at the beginning of 2020. The pair also briefly worked with Dieter Kindlmann in August until September 2020. Antonio Dubrov is her coach, and has been since at the beginning of 2020. Her top idols include Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
